But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

bell ringers beestonBell Ringers

Wednesdays, 7.30pm to 9pm and before Sunday services

The ringing of church bells is a long-standing tradition and practiced in many churches across the country. The members of Beeston Tower are an active, sociable group, loudly reminding the people of Beeston that the church is here and alive.

Beeston has ten bells and the band practice on them on a Wednesday evening from 7.30 to 9.00 p.m. and ring before morning and evening services on Sundays (9.15 to 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 to 6.30 p.m.)

We also ring for weddings at the church and to mark other major occasions in the life of individuals, the church and the nation. As part of the Southwell and Nottingham Guild we participate in joint events with other local ringers and organise to ring in other towers.

We are always pleased to receive visitors, whether they are experienced ringers, or newcomers interested in watching what we do or in considering learning themselves. You do not have to be strong or musical, young or old, come and give it a go!

Further information on ringing at Beeston can be obtained from Bridget Eickhoff, the Tower Captain, or email beeston@southwelldg.org.uk
